Just updating.


This sunday on a flea market I got an old PC with Windows 98 on it. It was pretty cheap, but then again it's a piece of junk. Anyway, thanks to that my love for retro games pretty much reached its peak, and I've been fooling around with it for a while. Trying to get an internet connection on a machine like that is actually difficult, and yeah I didn't succeed. It will probably end up in the attic somewhere. Anyway, then I decided to get rid of Vista and get XP on my laptop. Now I can actually play more Dos games. Hell yeah! I think retro games are just awesome, not only the Super Nintendo and the Sega Master System and all that shit, but the old PC games as well. With as my prime favorite Jazz Jackrabbit, but you probably already know that by now. Anyway, Google on DosBox and Dos games, and go pleasure yourself with nostalgicness.


I think I also developed a newfound love for Pinball. When I was a kid I used to play this game called Epic Pinball, created by Epic Megagames. Nowadays known as Epic Games, mastermind behind the Unreal engine. Anyway, I totally love it. I suck at it, like I did when I was a kid, but it's addicting. The graphics, the little music, everything feels so cool. If you wanna try a cool Pinball game, skip that crappy Space Cadet that comes with Windows, and try out Epic Pinball instead. You'll need DosBox obviously, but you know Google is your friend


That '70s Show. Ah. Watched a few episodes on the tube, I was a fan immediately. But I couldn't stand waiting so long for a new episode to be aired, so I decided to just go ahead and download all the seasons. I love it so much. It's funny, it's awesome, it's cool. I can easily watch five episodes right after each other without getting bored. I've watched all seasons now except the last one, and gosh they should have made more episodes, or a followup tv show, like That '80s Show. There actually is a That '80s Show, but it's different from That '70s Show and it was crappy so it was canned after thirteen episodes or something. But That '70s Show is so good, they should have made a That '80s Show with the same actors. This is probably my favorite TV show ever, anime excluded.


I've been listening to the main theme song for Chrono Trigger, and while I did I got totally inspired to make a fan project. I don't know how far I'm going to get, we'll see. First I plan to make a little teaser on what's it about, featuring simple animations, like weather effects and screen panning. Don't expect something like the Chrono Trigger FMV's, though. I decided to call it Chrono Break because I think it fits my plot very good. Also, it was the name that was going to be used for the sequel to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, before it was canned.

If you don't know what the hell I'm talking about or what Chrono Trigger is, go get a Super Nintendo emulator now and download the rom and play. You know those times when people tell you a game is really good and you think "yeah sure, whatever you say", well this time it's for real. Chrono Trigger is my favorite 2D RPG to date. It has everything a RPG should have, plus much much more. Also the music is awesome and character design was done by Akira Toriyama, so you cannot go wrong.


Well that wraps up the update, which was about everything on my mind right now. I'm gonna enjoy my free day tomorrow and be a lazy guy and eat some snacks and drink a lot and play a lot of old games, before going back to boring daily school life.
